This time, I will introduce a recommended hotel in the central area of Tokyo, namely Mitsui Garden Ginza Gochome, especially for those looking for a reasonably priced base for exploring Tokyo!
Mitsui Garden is a hotel group operated by the Mitsui Group, and it is spread throughout Japan. While it may not be a 5-star hotel, you can expect facilities and services at a 4-star level. All of their hotels have excellent locations and are very clean.
Location
You can reach it in less than a minute on foot from Tokyo’s central Higashi-Ginza Station. It’s also convenient for getting to Haneda and Narita airports, as the Asakusa Line’s Higashi-Ginza Station is easily accessible. Alternatively, if you take a bus to Ginza, it will be within walking distance.

Nearby Attractions
In front of Higashi-Ginza Station, you’ll find the Kabuki-za theater, where you can experience the traditional Japanese art of Kabuki. As the Ginza area is also within walking distance from Higashi-Ginza, it’s very suitable for exploring Ginza, and you can get anywhere in the city by train. Tsukiji is also within walking distance, making it convenient when visiting the Tsukiji Outer Market.
Nearby Convenience Stores
There are about three convenience stores within a 1-minute walk from the hotel, so you won’t have any trouble buying daily necessities or light snacks etc.
Nearby Restaurants
Being in the Ginza area, there are numerous dining options. However, it’s worth noting that the budget might be slightly on the higher side. If you extend your walk to Tsukiji, you can experience a variety of Japanese food cultures centered around fresh seafood.
Room
I stayed in a room of the “Moderate Double” type. It’s not a very spacious room, but it’s very clean and comfortable! There are light switches and power outlets by the bed, making it quite functional. The bathroom has a bathtub, toilet, and sink. Complimentary bottled water was in the fridge, and there were green tea tea bags available. There is also an electric kettle.
Hotel Restaurant
The hotel has a restaurant called “Shari.” You can use it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime, but it seems that sometimes there are private reservations for dinner. Breakfast is free if it’s included in your reservation, otherwise it costs around 2,500 yen. You can choose one of three plate options (Roll, Japanese, or Western) and enjoy a simple buffet with items like bread, rice, miso soup, and a variety of drinks.
Public Bath
As a part of Japanese culture, the hotel provides a public bath. Unfortunately, it was under maintenance when I stayed, but I believe many Japanese people would appreciate this feature. Even if there is a shower in your room, I often find myself wanting to extend to the public bath.
Other Facilities
A basic Fitness Room and a coin laundry are also available.
